The passion of the Comini familiy for the culture of hospitality comes from far away. It started when Eugenio Bruno Comini decided to move togther with his motherJosephine Von Lindeman, from Riva del Garda to Dobbiaco in order to rent the Hotel Europa.

It was the year 1946.

In the first years, already, the business is going good and Eugenio Bruno, together with his wife Enrica and the mother, decides to invest 18 million and 500 thousand Lire to be paid in 5 years to acquire uno of the historical hotels of Dobbiaco: the Hotel Union. The entire sum was paid in relation with the price of the meal, in order to avoid incidental devaluations. 

It is the beginning of a great story, not devoid of difficulties, but always with the consciousness of Eugenio Bruno together with his wife Enrica, that that was going to be his life occupation, thanks to his love and vocation for the profession of hotelkeeper, that beloneg to his mother Josephine already.

Yet the history of Hotel Union began much earlier.

Built in the 1900 and destroyed in 1917 during the bombardment of the Mount Popena, the Hotel union went through both the World Wars and has arrived to celebrate his first 100 years of life in a excellent shape.

All that thanks to the deed of the family Comini, that since the 1951 initiated a radical renewement of the whole structure in order to make it efficient and in line with the new tastes and tendencies of all typology of guest.

Nowadays Bruno, the son of Eugenio Bruno and Enrica, together with his wife Maria Daniela and theyre sons Alberto, Enrico ed Eugenia, continues to nourish the dream of his parents offering always a suitable and flawless service.

The tradition of the Family Comini continues, keeping unaltered the passion for his work and that familiar heat to reserve to every tourist that decides to visit the Pusteria valley, Dobbiaco and the Dolomites choosing to take accomodation by the Hotel Union.
