Dobbiaco has a centuries-old tourist vocation is testified by many accomodation that have also an important historic value. The so-called Door of the Dolomites has always attracted the interest of historical figures, politics and culturals influent personalities of the Old Continent.

Since the Belle Epoque, indeed, this mountain town is the favouritedestination of the middle calsses of the whole Europe.

It is not a case that one the most famous ex-hotel of Europe, the Gand Hotel of Dobbiaco was built there.
