Dobbiaco - The door of the Dolomites
Dobbiaco is located at an altitude of 1256 a.s.l. in the middle of a open and sunny valley. It is a municipality with a population of 3200 citizen in the province of Bolzano. Together with the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore in the neighbouring region of Veneto, shares the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo (three Peeks of Lavaredo), one of the most known and beloved mountains of the World.
Dobbiaco is site above a watershed: on the saddle of Dobbiaco spouts out the Drava, that after a long way flow in the Danube and at the end in the Black Sea, whilst at the side of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo has its source the Rienza, that after joining the Isarco flows in the Adriatic Sea.
The Dolomites, UNESCO World Universal Heritage together with all the other natural beauties make a real enchanting landscape that the inhabitants were able to to bring out creating many and various sport, recreational sports and amusements activities for families or group of friends, always in the respect of the nature.
